This article talks about how to raise/increase your rank in Jannah.

Tahajjud, prostration, reciting, following the Quran, Reciting darood Sharif, Good character, Preforming Wudu correctly, Upon entering market reciting, Dikhr, Fasting, and more.

  1. Pray Night prayer (Tahajjud)
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station. (Surah Al-Isra, ayat 79) [17:79]

2. Prostration
It was narrated from ‘Ubadah bin Samit that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
“No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will record one Hasanah (good reward) for him, and will erase thereby one bad deed and raise him in status one degree. So prostrate a great deal.”
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
English reference : Vol. 1, Book 5, Hadith 1424Arabic reference : Book 5, Hadith 1490

3. Recite and follow the Quran
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-’As:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: One who was devoted to the Qur’an will be told to recite, ascend and recite carefully as he recited carefully when he was in the world, for he will reach his abode when he comes to the last verse he recites.
Grade: Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
Reference : Sunan Abi Dawud 1464In-book reference : Book 8, Hadith 49English translation : Book 8, Hadith 1459

4. Recite Darood Sharif
Anas bin Malik said:
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever sends salah upon me once, Allah (SWT) will send salah upon him tenfold, and will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten degrees in status.”
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Reference: Sunan an-Nasa’i 1297In-book reference : Book 13, Hadith 119English translation : Vol. 2, Book 13, Hadith 1298

5. Good Character
Abu Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
“Nothing is placed on the Scale that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer.”
Grade: Hasan (Darussalam)
Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2003In-book reference : Book 27, Hadith 109English translation : Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 2003

Abu Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
“Nothing is heavier on the believer’s Scale on the Day of Judgment than good character. For indeed Allah, Most High, is angered by the shameless obscene person.”
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2002In-book reference : Book 27, Hadith 108English translation : Vol. 4, Book 1, Hadith 2002

6. Performing Wudu correctly
Abu Hurairah narrated that :
Allah’s Messenger said: “Shall I tell you that for which Allah will wipe out your sins, and raise your ranks?” They said, “Of course Allah’s Messenger!” He said: “Performing Wudu well in difficulty, and taking many steps to the Masajid, and waiting for Salat after Salat, That is the Ribat.”
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 51In-book reference : Book 1, Hadith 51English translation : Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 51

7. Upon entering the market place recite
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever enters the marketplace and says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all the praise, He gives life and causes death, He is Living and does not die, in His Hand is the good, and He has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khairu, wa huwa `alā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ Allah shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and raise a million ranks for him.”
Grade: Da’if (Darussalam)
Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3428In-book reference : Book 48, Hadith 59English translation : Vol. 6, Book 45, Hadith 3428

As for the hadith above I read somewhere that it says thousand thousand in the hadith, “The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said “the market entered He said: There is no god but God alone, there is no partner for whom the king has, and praise be to God. He lives and dies while he does not die. A thousand thousand good, and he erased a thousand thousand bad things, and he raised a thousand thousand degrees to him. ”Abu Issa said this is a recent event.”

8. Fasting
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:
“Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and sublime, Allah will remove his face away from the fire in return for the day (the distance of) seventy autumns.
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Reference : Sunan an-Nasa’i 2244In-book reference : Book 22, Hadith 155English translation : Vol. 3, Book 22, Hadith 2246

So think that if a person’s face is being distant from hell by 70 years, it would also mean the same person’s face would be getting closer to Jannah by 70 years. I think. Allah knows best.

9. Making dua
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If anyone asks Allah for martyrdom sincerely, Allah will make him reach the ranks of martyrs even if he died on his bed.
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Reference : Sunan Abi Dawud 1520In-book reference : Book 8, Hadith 105 English translation : Book 8, Hadith 1515

We can make dua for the reward of martyrdom

10. Hardship
‘A’isha reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
A believer does not receive (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that but Allah elevates him in rank or effaces his sins because of that.

11. Being Humble, I think. I put the hadith below
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Wealth does not diminish by giving Sadaqah (charity). Allah augments the honour of one who forgives; and one who serves another seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah will exalt him in ranks.”
[Muslim].
Arabic/English book reference : Book 1, Hadith 603

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Wealth is not diminished by giving (in charity). Allah augments the honour of one who forgives; and one who displays humbleness towards another seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah exalts him in ranks.”
[Muslim].
Arabic/English book reference : Book 1, Hadith 556

12. Dikhr of Allah
Yahya related to me from Malik that Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad said that Abu’d-Darda had said, “Shall I not tell you the best of your deeds, and those that give you the highest rank, and those that are the purest with your King, and are better for you than giving gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks?” They said, “Of course.” He said, “Remembrance (dhikr) of Allah ta ala.”
USC-MSA web (English) reference : Book 15, Hadith 24Arabic reference : Book 15, Hadith 496

Abu Huraira narrated it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that they (the poor among the emigrants) said:

Messenger of Allah, the possessors of great wealth have obtained the highest ranks and lasting bliss, and the rest of the hadith is the same as transmitted by Qutaiba on the authority of Laith except that he inserted the words of Abu Salih in the narration of Abu Huraira that” the poor of the emigrants came back,” to the end of the hadith,, but this addition was made that Suhail said (that every part of the supplication, i. e. Glorification of Allah, His Praise and declaration of His Greatness) should be uttered eleven times making the total as thirty-three.

13. Be careful of the words you speak
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “A man utters a word pleasing to Allah without considering it of any significance for which Allah exalts his ranks (in Jannah); another one speaks a word displeasing to Allah without considering it of any importance, and for this reason he will sink down into Hell.”

  4. A’isha reported that a person sought permission from Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) to see him. He said: Grant him permission. (and also added: ) He is a bad son of his tribe or he is a bad person of his tribe. When he came in he used kind words for him. ‘A’isha reported that she said: Allah’s Messenger, you said about him what you had to say and then you treated him with kindness. He said: A’isha, verily in the eye of Allah, worst amongst the person in rank on the Day of Resurrection is one whom the people abandon or desert out of the fear of indecency. 5. Abu Umama said he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) say:
Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al ‘Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu’awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)
